Long Point Eco Adventures

These wilderness pods near Toronto might be the perfect socially distanced getaway

If you're looking for a staycation next month and don't want to navigate a hotel or Airbnb, these wilderness pods near Toronto might be the perfect lodging alternative.

Just two hours from Toronto in Norfolk County, this wilderness pod resort offers a socially distanced experience for anyone wanting to escape the city for a bit.

Long Point Eco AdventuresCombining the rustic appeal of camping with the comfort and luxury of a hotel, Long-Point Eco Adventures is a safe way to get away with people in your social circle.

This sprawling retreat offers a ton of overnight accommodations, depending on what kind of "camper" you are.

The wilderness pods and wilderness suites, which resemble small cabins, each come with a king- or queen-sized bed, hardwood floors, private washroom, running water, and a deck.

All facilities are sanitized and deep cleaned and they also offer contact-less check-in.

Long Point Eco AdventuresPart of the appeal of this wilderness retreat is obviously the unique accommodations, but what really makes this place stand out are the facilities that practically make it a summer camp for adults.

The zipline is closed for the season but there's still mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, apiary tours and axe-throwing.

There's also a socially distanced outdoor patio for eating and drinking.

The pods and wilderness suites are fully booked for August but they're still accepting reservations for September and the fall season.
