Bike Share rolls out Pride themed bikes in Toronto

Now that the rain's cleared up, it's going to be a beautiful Pride weekend in Toronto. And what better way to get around than on a bicycle, especially a rainbow bicycle?

Bike Share Toronto revealed its fleet of rainbow bikes earlier today. They're stationed at Bloor and Church and are part of a TD Bank promotion - TD's a big Pride Toronto sponsor. Ad agency Leo Burnett created the multi-coloured two-wheelers.

Along with it being Canada Day (happy birthday!) this weekend is filled with Pride-related events, marches, concerts and parades. Church Street is closed between Hayden and Carleton from today until Monday, July 4 at 6 a.m. The Trans March is today at 7 p.m., the Dyke March is tomorrow at 2 p.m., and the massive Pride Parade is on Sunday at 2 p.m. Get all the details here.

Earlier this week, Bike Share Toronto announced it would be doubling its network with 120 new stations and 1,000 new bikes.
