rogers centre roof open

Rogers Centre roof open for the first time this season

The official start of summer might be a few weeks away yet, but it might as well be today because The roof of the SkyDome (er, Rogers Centre) will be open for the first time this season. I don't know what's a better indicator than that.

When the starting pitch is thrown as the Jays line up against the Boston Red Sox tonight, the forecast says it'll feel like 26 degrees out there. That's just about perfect baseball weather as the sun begins to set on the Dome, which is expected to remain open throughout the night with no rain predicted.

There are still plenty of tickets avaialble to tonight's tilt as I write this, which also features a fancy tote bag giveaway for the first 20,000 through the gate. But forget the bag - you want to go early to soak up the sun and heat.
