2016 Grey Cup coming to BMO Field in Toronto

Toronto's BMO Field is undergoing a pretty expansive makeover. And next year, the sports facility at Exhibition Place will get to show off its new look at the Grey Cup.

Multiple sources are reporting that Toronto will be the host city for the 2016 CFL championship game. Sportsnet noted this a few week back, however, it was unclear whether this major Canadian sporting event would unfold at the Rogers Centre or BMO Field.

According to Sportsnet, there will temporary seating added at Exhibition Place for the Grey Cup, possibly upping the chances that Toronto will be named a host city for the 2017 Winter Classic.

The CFL and the city of Toronto are scheduled to hold a joint press conference to make an official announcement about the November 27, 2016 Grey Cup game tomorrow at the Thompson Hotel.
