Toronto shuts down popular annual house party

No fun Toronto is back at it again. This time, it's shutting down the seventh annual 159 Manning BBQ, which was slated to happen this Saturday, July 16 from noon to 11 p.m.

Residents at the Dundas West-area house have been throwing parties and concerts for years, but this is the first time the city's shut one down.

In this literal case of NIMBYism, the city apparently received a single complaint about a 45-minute backyard music video shoot. It was also concerned that organizer (and 159 Manning resident) Tim McCready was going to sell alcohol and charge cover at Saturday's event.

While the BBQ won't be on for this weekend, McCready says he hopes to reschedule.
