Boiler Room

Toronto DJs to play exclusive underground broadcast

In the wake of the much scoffed at Red Bull Thre3style DJ championships that came to a head this weekend, Toronto's purist electronic fans will be happy to hear that Boiler Room TV ("the world's leading underground music show") is in town tonight. This will be sponsored by Red Bull too but, uh, it's Boiler Room. DJs from Toronto electronic record label 3024 (the force behind the Dovercourt EP compilation) will be showcased along with select special guests.

While the very first Toronto Boiler Room took place this summer, rap was the focus, making this the first time Toronto's techno and house scenes have been highlighted on their own turf — though these artists have appeared via other Boiler Room events worldwide. Martyn (3024 label head), Egyptrixx, Basic Soul Unit, Kevin McPhee, Gingy, Nautiluss, and Bruce Trail will all be DJing live for the online broadcast. While the actual Boiler Room event will be tiny and invite only (start texting your generous, adorable insider friends), fans can access the live stream by following this link. The show starts at 7pm EST.
