Penguin Records Toronto

In The Window: Radiohead, Adventureland, Deerhoof

Two weeks ago someone recommended that I check out Penguin Music and, given its indoor location, I thought it'd be a good place to hit up considering the weather we've been having. Located inside The Black Market clothing store, Penguin offers a variety of new and used CDs, vinyl, and a decent selection of DVDs.

ALBUMS

Penguin Music Toronto

During my visit at Penguin Music, I spoke with Kim who recommended...

Radiohead - The King Of Limbs
"It's their newest record that everyone knows. Personally I don't feel it's their best but no Radiohead album is bad - it's got a huge sale record but it's an average record for them."

Adventureland - Soundtrack
"A soundtrack by Yo La Tengo. I enjoy the soundtrack more than the movie. It's a good album of it's own and it may be out of print!"

Deerhoof - Friend Opportunity
"A special green vinyl limited to 1000 copies. I particularly like this record because it's remastered by John Golden."
