NXNE Photos: Thee Oh Sees, Said The Whale, La Strada, Whale Tooth, Nightbox & Old Crowns

For NXNE on Friday night, I checked out Vancouver indie rockers Said The Whale at Yonge Dundas Square before heading west to the Drake Underground for sets from Ottawa's Old Crowns and Brooklyn quintet La Strada.

Following a cohesive and energetic set from La Strada, I began walking back east towards the Rivoli to catch Whale Tooth. Thankfully they were running a bit behind as a result of the blackout, so I made it there in time to catch Ireland's Nightbox.

It was announced early yesterday afternoon that the special 2am guest at the Bovine would be Thee Oh Sees and having missed their set at The Great Hall yesterday, I decided that I wasn't going to make the same mistake twice.
