Rotate This To Close, Move West

Rotate This, one of this city's best independent music stores, is packing up the vinyl and closing their doors later this month. The moving date is scheduled for May 28th.

But fear not, Rotate This fans. A new store will open on June 1st only blocks away in the old Songbird Music location at 801 Queen Street West.

The move is apparently prompted by the promise of cheaper rent in the new location; and maybe, just maybe, by the Tim Hortons rumoured to be opening in the old Queenshead pub.

I've also heard that upstairs from the new Rotate This will be a yet unnamed video store from the owner/manager of the Suspect Video that was destroyed in the Queen Street fire.
