TIFF Isn't the Only Film Festival in September as TUFF, BRAFFT and the Toronto Palestine Film Festival Compete for Attention [Contest]

The Toronto International Film Festival might hog the spotlight in September, but it's far from the only local film festival trying to woo fans of the moving image. The Brazilian Film Festival (BRAFFT) and the Toronto Palestine Film Festival are two others to look forward to, as is one that is marking its third year screening one minute silent films on the 270 digital screens next to subway platforms throughout the city.

The Toronto Urban Film Festival (TUFF) has narrowed their program down to 80 films from the 245 submitted from around the globe. The complete list and schedule is on the festival's web site. Starting September 11th and running through the 20th (basically the same dates as TIFF in case anyone is keeping score) they will appear every 10 minutes, although new this year there's something called the Heineken Film Zone at Bloor subway station where they will be running on a continuous loop (no ads).

To help make the subterranean film experience more accessible, the organizers of TUFF have hooked us up with 6 one week TTC passes to give away. Each pass will be good for unlimited travel from the 14th to 20th of September.

How to Win: Just be one of the first 6 people to place a comment on the theGentries Facebook Group wall letting us know your favourite subway station in Toronto and why. (Please note: Multiple wall posts will be disqualified, so only post once.)
