Students in Toronto are always looking for cheap places to shop. And whether you're looking revamp your fall wardrobe or spruce up your dorm room, there are plenty of places to do so without breaking the bank (or spending all of your precious OSAP money).

Here are my picks for cheap places for students to buy stuff for cheap in Toronto.

8th + Main
Avoid the Eaton Centre and head across the street to 8th + Main. It's a west coast-based retailer that stocks trendy, but inexpensive clothing items and accessories for both men and women. The store is massive, so there's plenty to choose from here.

VdeV
While this Ossington shop carries high-end furniture, there are plenty of knick-knacks and decorative items that are thankfully much, much cheaper. This Montreal-based houseware store features a slew of odd and ends that'll jazz up your dorm room or student apartment.

Saks Off Fifth
Get designer duds for cheap at Saks Off Fifth, which is located at Vaughan Mills. Luckily, depending on when you visit, you won't even have to shell out cash to get to this enormous, suburban mall because there's a free shuttle bus that stops at Union Station.

Second Voyage
Thrifters and vintage lovers should head to Corktown to discover unique clothing and decor from Second Voyage. This well-curated shop isn't as cheap as say, Value Village, but it's still affordable. Best of all, it'll let you fill your room (and closet) with one-of-a-kind items.

H&M Home
This big box store at the Eaton Centre got a facelift this year. And this makeover included a brand new department: H&M Home. The in-house line features cheap and cheerful decor, linens and various on-trend knick-knacks that won't induce any sticker shock.
