Greta Constantine wows with blood, crazy-big pockets and leather capes in new men's collection

Greta Constantine once again hosted their proudly pre-Fashion Week runway collection at the Audi headquarters, sending down the dealership concrete the usual bevy of be-jersey-ed beauties, and, this time, one hell of a men's collection.

Co-designers Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong are known for their draped jersey dresses, and this collection was no exception: the models swathed in cloth strutted in various twists and flourishes of their trademark fabric.

Some had cowl-necks contrasting a tighter bottom, while others featured two "tails" flowing down the back of a shift. My favourites included the frock with a big ruffle collar and a tulip-front skirt, and the one rocking a cape-like low back.

But enough about the draping. We've seen it. Let's talk Ezra Constantine, shall we?

The pair's recently launched men's collection really blew me away--an appropriate metaphor, considering the military feel of the collection (complete with wound make-up!).

I found myself dashing big, enthusiastic checkmarks beside a lot of my notes on the menswear, whether it was a pair of wool pants with oversized pockets and a high-fashion hoodie or war-time-looking drop-crotch trousers and a black peacoat with leather shoulders. The details were surprising, sexy, and terribly stylish.

Many pieces were even covetable by the ladies, like the flamboyant leather cape, the super-skinny gray trouser, and the space-age jersey pants with black piping. I'd take this kind of innovation and flair over a jersey dress any day.

Bravo, boys: Ezra is definitely my favourite Constantine.
