Sell Nothing Day

To commemorate Buy Nothing Day (November 23rd), two Kensington Market retailers are closing their doors to make sure they sell nothing.

Yep, Nassau street's eco-friendly Left Feet and Heart on Your Sleeve are showing that even businesses aren't afraid to admit that we sometimes consume too much.

Left Feet's founder Steven Fish explains: "Yes, at a basic level we do make our living selling things. But we don't support aimless, rampant consumerism. We're in the business of ethical retail here, and we support other activists who want to encourage less, more meaningful, buying, and want to take a one day holiday from all consumption."
