Founded by Lebanese Canadian entrepreneur, Hamsa Diab Farhat in 2018, the Taste of the Middle East Toronto Festival has grown to become a major cultural event in Toronto, as it returns for the 7th year in a row. The festival is organized by the Taste of the Middle East Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting Arabic art, music, and culture.

The festival serves as a platform for cultural expression, allowing newcomers to maintain connections to their heritage and encouraging youth to embrace their cultural identity. It promotes interaction between ethnic minorities and the mainstream population, enhancing community cohesion.
