Combined with the soulful power of Tracey Chapman, the uniqueness of Bruno Mars and a voice that can silence a room, NEFE is a burgeoning force within the Canadian musical landscape.
Born Sarah Jea Felker, NEFE is a singer/songwriter hailing from the small Southwestern Ontario city of Guelph. And although her name may not be familiar yet, its more than likely that people have come across her gifts before. Not only has she been featured on Bit Funks Destination Sunrise streamed over 2 million times, but shes also performed as a a part of The World Cup of Hockey 2016 celebrations, 2016s Canadas Walk of Fame Future Legends show where she claimed the 2013 RBC Emerging Artist Music Mentorship Program Prize of $10,000, The Atlin Arts & Music Festival and The Eden Writers Festival.
Adopting her name from Queen Nefertiti, NEFE stands to lead and empower individuals to accept their real beauty, and not succumb to the pressures of perfection defined by todays media culture.
Currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on her debut EP, and enhancing her talents by recording with Taylor Kirk of Timber Timbre at Montreals Hotel2Tango studios - her voice, that is so often compared to the greats that have come before her, is ready to make a mark of its own.
