DJ Khaled is in Toronto making surprise visits to local restaurants
DJ Khaled has opened a ghost kitchen restaurant in Toronto previously, but over the past weekend, he was actually in the city sampling our favourites here in town.
The producer who recently opened Another Wing in Toronto was out and about sampling our greatest hits.
DJ Khaled tried out Jamaican restaurant Pat's Homestyle and Italian spot Sotto Sotto, and he burst onto the scene by rolling up on people riding a pedal-powered beer wagon.
He's been actively posting on social media about his trip to Toronto to collaborate with Drake, hashtagging all his posts with #GODDID, and even tagging Drake's favourite Sotto Sotto in a post of him getting on a jet, saying "see u soon!"
"Shout out to Pat's," DJ Khaled says in a video. "Straight from the jet. Got some curry goat white rice, a little beef patty."
He especially shouted out the peanut punch from Real Deal Juice Co.
"Feel like I'm at home," DJ Khaled says as he's eating in another video. In another one, he even takes the time to recommend Pat's to someone on the street who shockingly says they've never been.
Later he hit up Sotto Sotto to eat what he says are the best shrimp he's ever had in his life, also saying it's one of the best restaurants he's eaten at in his life. He even requested to hug the chef.
At Sotto Sotto, he also slurped down bolognese and penne with rose sauce, and a dessert that looked to be tiramisu.
He's far from the only celebrity in town right now: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom Arnold were spotted biking around, and Adam Sandler has been popping up everywhere.
