One of Toronto's ping pong lounges just shut down
It’s not all fun and games for one of Toronto’s ping pong lounges, Smash.
Things have taken a turn from rumpus room playtime to Balls of Fury at the Riverside bar, where the locks have been changed. A notice has been posted that tenancy has been terminated “for rent arrears and additional rent” amounting to $64,364.33.
Landlord of the property Hullmark presides over many other buildings home to local businesses like Tokyo Smoke and Reigning Champ.
Hopefully everyone got their stuff out of there and Smash removed all assets, because the notice was posted February 4, 2019, and stated that only five days after that the landlord would be able to dispose of any assets without notice. That was three days ago.
Smash officially opened in March 2016.
