• Bunny's, chef Rodney Bowers' new restaurant that replaces his previous Hey Meatball at 912 Queen St. E., has finally opened, offering another brunch, lunch and dinner option in Leslieville.
• Soufi’s, a Syrian restaurant and cafe, is now open at 676 Queen S. W.
• Saulter Street Brewery, at 1-31 Saulter St. in Riverside, adds to the growing number of craft breweries opening on the city's east side.
• The appropriately named Do Not Disturb has launched at the Beverley Hotel, which is under new ownership.
• Moto Snack Bar at 1321 Dundas St. W., (by Rusholme) is now 86'd.
• Taiwanese chain Hot-Star Large Fried Chicken has opened another location in the city, this time at 5525 Yonge St., just south of Finch.
• The Pan Seared Inc., a restaurant and bar with mostly Italian offerings, is now open at 2038 Yonge St., in midtown.

Opening soon

• Japanese cheese tart purveyor Pablo opens near Bay and Dundas tomorrow, and will give away tarts to those who show up early and offer them some Instagram love.
• Something called Hoja, which sounds like it's going to be a Taiwanese spot, will be opening at 615 Bloor St. W., in Koreatown, which was formerly UMJI/Thumbs Up Restaurant. It's currently looking to hire a "bubble tea bartender."
• Jamaican jerk joint Ackee Tree will be opening a new location at 372 Queen St. E., (by Parliament) any day now.
• Healthy fast-casual take-out spot Hopscotch is opening another location, this time at 224 Queen St. W., (at McCaul) in the former Battered Fish space.
• Sichuan Kungfu Fish, which already has one location in Richmond Hill, will soon be opening a second at 4188 Finch Ave. W. in Scarborough.

Closed

• Minimalist coffee spot Public Park Coffee has closed.
• Another cafe, Toronto Coffee & Tea House, is also gone.
• Parcae, which was located inside the Templar Hotel, is no more.
• Northern Chinese Cuisine has closed in Little Italy.
• The boil bar craze may have finally boiled over. The Boil Bar at 442 Bloor St. W. in the Annex has shuttered.

Other news

• Jackson's Burger has moved to 38 Elm St. due to skyrocketing rents on Yonge.
• Soi Thai is currently closed for renovations but should be reopening soon.
