  • Vancouver izakaya Guu has reopened its first Toronto location since it split ways with its former partners. The Japanese pub and snack bar is now in Parkdale at 1314 Queen St. W.
  • The Inside Scoop, a new kosher ice cream parlour located at 3041 Bathurst St., is now open and it's serving up soft serve banana splits.
  • The Crafty Coyote Ale House is now open at 511 Bloor St. W. This new pub boasts 30 rotating taps, three local casks and an assortment of beer-friendly sharing plates.

  • Montgomery's, a nouveau Canadian restaurant from chef Guy Rawlings, is taking over 996 Queen St. W., formerly, Tom's Family Restaurant.
  • Loaded Pierogi is opening its third location at 839 Queen St. W.
  • Buster's Sea Cove is also testing new waters. Its third location is coming to the food court in Commerce Court.
  • A new boutique butcher from Cumbrae's is in the works at 1591 Bayview.
  • Ken Oh, a new Nagoya-style spaghetti house, is coming to 183 Dundas St. W.
  • Lan Zhou Ramen is going in next door at 185 Dundas St. W.
  • Mana'ish, a self described global flatbread cafe is going into the Loving Hut spot at 140 Spadina Ave. Expect an eclectic menu ranging from traditional Levantine flatbreads dusted with za'atar to Korean kimchi and jerk chicken flatbreads.
