dry Toronto weather

Toronto sets record for driest month of June in 25 years

If the weather in Toronto's been feeling dryer than usual, you're not imagining things. We've been getting less rainfall than normal; instead of the average 71.5 millimetres, we saw just 26.4. As Newstalk 1010 reports, it was our driest June since 1991.

According to CBC News, areas across the country - including parts of southeastern Ontario - experienced dry and sometimes drought-like conditions. This can be especially detrimental to farmers.

Here in Toronto, expect high temperatures at least until tomorrow. There's currently a heat warning in effect for the city. While Environment Canada is predicting a mostly hot and sunny week, we could see some rain on Friday.
