It's going to be a tricky weekend for drivers on Toronto roads, as a slew of festivals and events close highways and streets around the city. Of particular note is that there will be partial closures of both the Gardiner and DVP on Sunday morning for the Toronto Triathlon Festival.

Starting at midnight, the northbound lanes of the DVP will be closed to Eglinton Avenue until noon. During that same period, the eastbound Gardiner will be closed from the South Kingsway to Carlaw Avenue. Making matters worse, one eastbound lane of Lake Shore Boulevard will be closed between Windemere Avenue and New Brunswick Way.

As far as city streets go, St. Clair West is closed between Christie Street and Winona Drive from 8 a.m. Saturday to 11 p.m. on Sunday for Salsa on St. Clair. Side streets in the area will also be difficult to access during these times.

The Taste of Lawrence festival will close the eponymous street between Warden Avenue and Birchmount Road from 10 a.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Monday.

In other food festival-related closures, Thrill of the Grill with shut down the Danforth between Broadview and Jackman avenues on Saturday between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m, and the Lovin Local Food Fest shuts down Yonge Street between Dundas and Queen streets all day Saturday.

In good news, there are no scheduled TTC subway closures this weekend. Do remember, however, that College and Bathurst is still closed for streetcar track replacement.
