Rocco Rossi releases wise guy-inspired ad campaign

Have you been looking for something fresh to deck out your bedroom walls? Is that Joe Pesci poster a little worn out? The perfect solution? Your very own "Rocco Rossi: Wiseguy" poster. Tough as it may be to believe, Rossi's ads position him as the quintessential gangster: part family man and part urban badass.

Not into it? How about "Rocco Rossi: Goodfella"? Or "Rocco Rossi: Bocce Balls"? Lucky for you, you can have all three. The Toronto mayoral candidate has updated his website with high res posters available for download.

Also for your enjoyment are radio ads narrated by a Godfather-sounding Rocco-enthusiast jarringly interrupted by a voice telling you to vote for the atypical candidate. You can also downtown the Rocco Rossi ringtone (which, admittedly, is quite catchy) or check out YouTube videos of the young candidate with hair and coke bottle glasses.

Clearly, Rossi's multimedia attempts slaughter those of his competitors. But is the effort enough to win votes? And does the humour work?
