It snowed a lot this weekend, making for troublesome conditions across the GTA. Many school bus services and some schools are cancelled/closed, a number of flights in and out of Pearson and the Island were delayed/cancelled, and there was at least one weather-related tragedy.
Facebook is suing a Toronto-area internet porn company for attempting to hack its system and obtain personal information about its members. The RCMP have intercepted a record quantity of heroin being smuggled through Toronto's Pearson International Airport this year. 100 kilos of cocaine, and 20,000 kilos of khat have also been snagged by authorities.
Toronto's 81st homicide victim of 2007 was a targeted hit. Suspects forced their way into a home, sought out the victim, and shot him in the head. No arrests have been made yet.
