Chris Jericho takes his place on stage

Fringe Festival Review: Sunday Night with The Sketchersons #2

Wrestlers can act. Wrestlers are taught how to act. That's what wrestling (these days) is all about. Charisma.

The Toronto Fringe Festival said "good night and good luck" to everyone with a most-likely over-sold bash at The Brunswick House last night when The Sketchersons performed their weekly ritual of jokes and old-lady puking scenarios with guest-star Chris Jericho.

Jericho took on four roles including a trainee for a door-to-door poison salesman and "Edward SpatulaHands." Jericho also took on the role of a Shakespearian actor in a hilarious sketch which involved an egocentric director.

Another act included a couple where the boyfriend wouldn't stop showing off his amateur rap skills and his girlfriend would be late for work (then fired).

Another act involved a karaoke bar run by stereotypical Canadians who couldn't stop saying "right on" and drove people insane.

Probably the best moment of the night was during the News portion of the evening when Bob, The News Guy. He said that the Army was giving children Sesame Street shows for children whose fathers had gone off to fight in the Middle East to help explain the purpose of the war and such. One particular section of the show would say sing the popular "1-2-3 FOUR 5-6-7-8 NINE TEN, YOU'RE DAD'S DEAD!"

The Brunswick House looked like it was oversold. There were people who couldn't find a seat. I'm pretty sure the lot of those who saw last night performance will most likely come back (the newbies that is). Although last week's skits and performances were funnier, Chris Jericho and the troupe brought out a lot of good times, even if you were sweating your face off (man, it was too hot).

Oh. By the way...For all you Chris Jericho fans, I went on YouTube and had to look around for one of my favorite WWF (WWE) moments from when I was a high-schooler. Here it is:
